Awesome day today, folks! Light on the wind (5.3 Manic on the Pocket 75), but a bit more side off than it's been, and still plenty of wave action. I did not sail Ho'okipa, but I still caught some great action elsewhere. More later, I just wanted to tease you with this shot of Levi:

Andy, I'm enjoying the daily reports. Glad you're getting some wind & waves.
yow, i had such an awesome day of wave sailing friday andy, that i woke up at 1am. And I'm so amped, I may not beable to get back to sleep.
Windsurfing, you just gotta love it!
Janis is gonna love that pic of levi. Love that spray going UP off his board
Levi is my favorite! His windsurfing style and flare blows me away as well as his ability to explain the stoke. Full on balls to the wall taking his chance to show the world what he's really made of! He Rocks! I had the blessing of hanging out on the bluff at Ho'okipa on a Sunday back in February '08 to watch the pros. As close to heaven as you can get man!
how about some video ? great work on the blog .from brian in ct.
Looks like you didn't need your sun screen on this trip. ;-(
In summer 2007 I was sailing Sprecks where I was always staying with the rig on failed jumps for fear of plunging too deep and hitting the shallow reef. On that day, over that reef, I saw Levi attempt about a 25 foot back loop coming down nose first all the way.
I think my dropping jaw bruised my chest!
