So I guess Hwy 12 is still open?? Have some buds heading out in the AM for weekend camping and surf trip at Frisco Woods. Please reply if they need to bring a dinghy.
Cheers!

Awesome Andy!!

Definite skunkage here today, though the Oregon Inlet meters hovered around 30 all day. Too bad it was straight onshore and pouring rain...

Mike- for now, the highway is still open, but the swell isn't forecast to really build until tomorrow...

Fingers are crossed Fish!

Bill- check out the PWA Sylt footage... We have NO EXCUSES... except for being spoiled with nice conditions 98% of the time...

Hilarious! We had it good yesterday on the lake even in the driving rain.

Morning talk shows say you guys are losing all your sand dunes? I guess the hammering isn't over yet?

We are getting walloped just 200 miles North in Tidewater. 50+ knot gusts 30 knot lulls. Come and get it Friday AM that's when it might be sailable again.

I was going to ask if dead pelicans were clogging your wind meters down there but your video explains it! Such a bizarre contrast to up north. Yesterday it came in nice and mello on the Chesapeake (Sandy Point) with fun 5.0 conditions most of the day that gradually ramped up. Glad to hear the island is still standing!

Hey, glad to hear you guys are all getting out there! At least someone's getting some breeze from this storm...

The island is still standing, but the road has overwashed up in Rodanthe, and maybe a bit in Buxton. Lots of rain has the road flooded everywhere else anyway. Surf is still building, with the buoy currently reading 11 ft at 16 seconds (HUGE). Oh, and it's still NOT windy, with the low parked directly overhead.

Intense. For how long are you goind to be block on the Island!?
