C-Hole Vid

Man it's been soooooooo goooooood here for the last few days..... I know you guys are fiend-ing for updates, and I've got a lot of good stuff, but I'm sooooo frickin' busy at the moment... So you'll have to settle for a little video of Anne, Mikey Z, Ken K and I, filmed with a GoPro Wide angle (watch out! You've gotta get close to catch the action!!). This was from a sunset sesh a few days ago. I don't even remember when, because it's been SW and Crankin' for the last 2 weeks straight... It's just been unbelievably windy here on Hatteras this spring.... ahhhhhhh.......

By the way- Anne's been killing it... She's on a 3.7 and 75 liter RRD in the vid... Duck jibing like a champ!! Actually, everyone has been killing it out there... I've got sooo many success stories for you guys... just have to find time to write 'em...

ANDY! That is awesome!! You also set it to The Mars Volta!! That freaking rocks!! That band is so good. I am so pumped right now! I just made all my office mates watch the video and now I am going to watch it again. Sweet man!!! Well, thanks for being awesome and posting/using Mars Volta. Hope you, Anne, and Stuart are doing well down there. Back to the grindstone for me : ( I actually can't bring myself to unpack my car, it reminds me of Hatteras and then I feel warm and fuzzy. L. Ontario better kick up soon! I need to sail!

Andy, Great video. Loved the effects at the slow point of the song and your "hand cam"...getting that rear angle from back of the board close to the feet....nice.

The historic name of C-hole is "Haulover." I knew this, but what I learned today is that it was called that because back in the day boats were built in Avon and brought down to the Haulover. They picked this spot because it was the shortest distance between the sound and the ocean with the lowest dunes.
Thanks to Mik-L for some Hatteras history.

Great duck jibe Anne. You are really progressing! That new camera really shows the action well.

Glad you all like the vid!

Anne is certainly killin' it out there... ABK Boardsports is here Friday through Sunday for a three day clinic, so if any of you wish to progress as quickly as Anne (no matter what you're working on), I'd suggest jumping in the clinic!

The camera is a GoPro wideangle helmet cam, Nic. It's tiny, light, and waterproof. Pretty sweet, really!!

Oh, and thanks for the history, Dan! I guess the guy who beached his sailboat last fall was just a few miles off the mark...

Great vid, well done. You totally captured the essence of the sunset session!

Got back from Hatteras three weeks ago and this is just what I needed to tide me over till we get some wind up here in Ontario...I miss Hatteras already!
